Television Industry

Posted by: | March 7, 2010 | 1 Comment |

Movies have been around for a very long time, in fact probably longer than you would believe. The motion picture camera has been around since the late 1880’s. The first cameras were turned by a hand crank. The camera would take pictures from five to ten frames a second, depending on how fast the hand crank was turned by the cameraman. These days almost everybody has a camera, even on their phones. But, they are way more complicated then they look. I will soon do a blog about cameras. The movie business is a multi billion dollar industry, and huge companies and brand labels control the business! Hollywood and Bollywood you name it! One of biggest companies in the movie industry is 20th Century Fox. It is owned by the Fox Corporation, and that company easily rakes in billions of Dollars in a single year alone. Also, MGM Studios and Universal Studios are also some of the biggest money making names. Disney is the biggest and strongest film, music, and television industry of them all, in my eyes. Seriously, who doesn’t know what Disney is? It has been in the film making industry since the start, and who better represent Disney than good old Mickey Mouse? I mean, who doesn’t like that guy? You can say what you want about him, but deep down you know he is awesome! Disney has come so far, so fast. They started out as a cartoon industry, but look at them know! They have theme parks all around the world, three different TV channels, toys, movies, music, shows and much more. Disney is a prime example of what the television industry can do. MGM studios and Universal studios each have theme park, but there aren’t as many and they aren’t as big as Disney World and Disney Land. Television can influence people to buy things and go places, easily. That just goes to show you how powerful the television industry can be. Please leave a comment on what you think my next blog should be about. Here are the choices. Video games (if so, please tell me what game), Movies, TV shows, or any other kind of entertainment.
